The Home Energy Saving Scheme (HES)

The Home Energy Saving Scheme (HES) provides a grant of euro 4000 to each homeowner wishing to upgrade the insulation values in their external walls. The home must be built prior to 2006, and the contractor must be registered with the Sustainable Energy Authority (SEAI).

The reasons for using a registered contractor are obvious;

A. Every registered insulation contractor is audited every year to ensure that standards of workmanship are of the highest standards.

B. The materials used must be approved by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (see nsai.ie ), and this ensures that you, the customer, receive the exact specification described in the quotation process.
